Pre-Occupational Therapy

Help others to achieve independence and to enjoy life to its fullest.

Becoming an occupational therapist will not only change your life; it will make a positive impact on others’ lives too. By choosing a career in occupational therapy, you will make a difference! You will be able to improve the lives of people, from newborns to the very old. Students today can look forward to dynamic careers working in multiple settings with people of all ages.

“Man, through the use of his hands, as they are energized by mind and will, can influence the state of his own health.” — Mary Reily, OTR, EdD

YOUR COURSES

Students who intend to pursue a career in occupational therapy should consider a B.S. degree in the Biological Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Occupational Therapy. The prerequisite courses for many degree programs are contained within the concentration including coursework in the natural sciences (biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics) and psychology. The B.S. Biological Sciences – Pre-Occupational Therapy Concentration aims to prepare undergraduates with the broad background necessary for acceptance into graduate programs in occupational therapy.

Quincy's classes are small, so you get a lot of personal attention. Talking to other students in med school, they didn't know their professors very well. I worked with my teachers every day.
